Q: What is a FAQ?
A: FAQ is an acronym for "frequently asked questions."

Q: What is SEER?
A: SEER stands for~Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio ranging from 13 to 19 the higher the seer the more efficent the unit and less energy usage.

Q: What size unit do I need?
A: This will depend on how may square feet your home is newer homes 1 ton per 600 square feet is the recomended size.
Q: How offten should I have duct cleaning done?
A: If the house is over six years old and every 3 to 5 years after that
Q: What type of sanitiser is used during a duct cleaning?
A: BBJ AIr Conditioner MicroBiocide.

Q: Do you provide dryer vent cleaning?
A: Yes, We provide dryer vent cleaning and it should be performed at least once a year some times more depending on how clean the dryer vent in side the dryer is kept and the amount of laundry done

Q: Why Do Air Ducts Need Cleaning?
A:
Air ducts are breeding grounds for bacteria and molds that cause many people to suffer from allergies or respiratory stress. Dust, mold spores, pollen, fibers, hair, paper dust and more is drawn into your HVAC system. Ninety-five (95%) of these particles pass through the air filter(s) and hide in the air handling equipment and air duct system. This build-up can reduce airflow up to fifty (50%) and can be a source of musty, stale odors.

Q: What benefits can I expect from having my air ducts cleaned?
A:
The dust in your home is reduced greatly, odors are removed from the air ducts and the air flow is increased by as much as 50%. Heating and cooling costs will be reduced. Our customers (even ones without allergies) report they no longer wake up with stuffy heads. Allergy suffers obtain relief from sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes associated with dust and mold spores. The best thing you get out of having your ducts cleaned is that you and your family will breathe healthier, cleaner air!

Q: What is a MERV rating?

A: Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value, or MERV for short, is a filter rating system devised by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) to standardize and simplify air filter efficiency ratings for the public. The higher the MERV rating, the higher the efficiency of the air filter. Simply stated, a MERV 12 filter will remove smaller particles from the air than a MERV 8 filter.

For the consumer this means that you now have the ability to effectively compare one brand to another. Without any value-added additions, any MERV 12 filter will perform about the same as any other MERV 12 filter. The MERV rating only applies to efficiency. Additions such as Lysol anti-bacterial treatment and Arm & Hammer baking soda are value-added benefits and are not an expression of the MERV rating system.

If allergies or asthma are your concern, we suggest you choose a MERV 8 filter at a minimum.
